I killed my old 9500 np which softmodded great failin a vmod. I got this other red pcb one which does not softmod so i got stuck w/ this "slow" card...
this card has 3.3ns infineon btw

anyways, my old card using stock cooling would do 335mhz/275mhz

right now this new card using 100% stock cooling is at 405mhz/310mem.... the mem is maxed out until i can get ramsinks tho. the core i have been uppin in increments of 5mhz so i have not found the limit yet!

btw the card was factory unlocked.

do i have like a weird card or before did i just get a really really bad overclocking one.... i am at around 15k 3dmarks now at 11x203

EDIT: Max 100% stable is 411mhz. I tried to run 3dmark at 418mhz but there would be an occasional artifact..... Not to bad IMHO a 136mhz Overclock using stock cooling!

411mhz with stock cooling is pretty amazing, most 9500 np's reach 360~375 if i'm not mistaken.

310 mhz mem isn't too good fo 3.3ns chips though, al the Connect 3D 9500 np's (3.6ns) I encountered did +325.

the 3.3ns infineon doesnt seem to be doing well... or the 3.6ns hyinx, for that matter... on 9500 pcb's, anyways.

I am quite hapyy...I wil be hapy when I get H2O on it and do a Vmod:rolleyes:

my connect3d does 432/337 max .
i always run it at 425/330 while gaming .

voltmod to 1.6V
Zalman hp80 w/ 120mm blowing on it
put a heatsink on the pink little backplate (helps a lot for mem oc-ing) i could do +20 on the mem after applying this

ok i just removed the shim and am gonna go and lap the stock heatsink now w/ 600 grit paper... hopefully this can get me to 430mhz or around there (obviously i would prefer higher)... this weekend i will put ram sinks on the card....

i wanna try and break 16k 3dmarks which would be quite amazing with a Rad 9500 non pro!

AAAAHHHHHH!!! My RAM sucks! I have a Radeon 9700 NP(powercolor) with 3.3 ns mem and its being a §§§§§ to OC. I flashed the BIOS and now my core is up to 375 mhz but mem becomes unstable at only 280 mhz! Can someone help me? Im planning on replacing the stock cooler with this fella http://www.ocsystem.com/ocati90vidca.html

Çhrist0ph you may already know this but there are different bios for the card with various memory configs. You might want to look around to make sure you flash with the right one for your memory.

I know i got the right BIOS, by warp11, especially for my brand/card, but right now im giving it another shot. I just finished a heavy session of UT2k3 at 300 mhz mem. So far so good. In the past it would just simply lock up but not artifact. Hopefully it will remain stable :)

ramsinks do help! depends on thememory tho. my memory is running extremely hot, even at default speed. (samsung 4ns on a 4200)

i can run 2k1 up to 620mhz, but after 10min the memory gets super hot and i get artifacts.

with ramsinks i can run 640 for soem minutes and 580-590 all the time without getting artifacts, before 540-550 was the max stable artifact free oc.

My 9500 Pro only goes to 330 artifact free in Code creatures and 350 in 03 but 380 in 01??

Changing for a 9800 Pro soon anyway so I don't really care :D

Great chip though mate :toast:
