But your gonna have to take that NF7 and clock the cpu up to 250 ghz to make a difference and that's just to hold them off. They are putting out around 60% more than us.

If you get that cpu that goes that high, I'll buy it for $5000 cash. hehe

We have almost 700 active CPU's They have over 1600, Were putting out way way more per CPU. So were more efficient. They must have some auto install on their CD's that come with the magazine lately, I'll have to check.

There's no one over there putting out crazy WU's It's just their size They've got almost 2200 members, we have 500, with less than half of them even active.

Think of it that way and the few of us that are, are really working our asses off!!!!!!

the only thing that can be said about that Maximum PC thing, is that it is quite likely that their number of members will gradually decrease. Since most ppl dont know what they are running, its pretty likely it wont stay on their comps that long

I will add a 2.4 GHz P4 rig to my name tomorrow, but like all my rigs, it will only fold part time.

My main rig does most of the work, but it cranks out about 30-40 pts per day easily only running in the daytime.

So I got

XP 2810 MHz
Duron 800 MHz
Athlon 1100 MHz
P4 2400 MHz

they will only be folding when the ppl in question are actually using their computer, which is not always a lot :( but better than nothing

Maximum PC is slowing down, i have noticed in the past 3 weeks.

They will still pass no matter what, and move up quite a few, Their Line on stats man used to be a lot more vertical.

Also first time I've seen us holding over 9000 points per week.

Well, I got the farm up a few weeks ago then lsot a 3rd of it again when I THOUGHT I'd lost a cpu due to HSF failure. SMoke comin out the CPU socket n everything.... CPU Fan dead. Never bothered trying to revive it as wanted to put a decent CPU in but it did mean 3 rigs offline in total :( ...just got it back up today and the CPU that was in it is fine!!! I'm puzzled now! Back at full strength and I've got a few more to fire up in the meantime...

PM'd all of my guys that I know have stopped to give em a "hint".

There is no Auto-installer on any CD by us, in fact every member that joined had to set up Folding themselves. its tru we dont have any super folders but i think top heavy teams are way more vulnerable. our top 10 folder are about 12-15% of our entire team where as your is closers to 30%. If one goes down for even a day the whole team feels it. Yes our team is slowing down but the people we have will be folding for some time yet. Congrats on your accomplishment and we will see you later.:toast:

Exactly ... the folders on your team most likely have ballpark to or sub- to 1ghz machine and only one and probably don't fold 24/7

so to make up for that you have quantity over quality - don't take that wrong I quality in the sense your members don't have folding farms of 10+ computers dedicated strickly to the cuase. I do fear how ever Stanford under pressure will eventually see you as an agraggate team and place you as such. It would be a true advantage though if other teams had your exposure, your ability to reach the masses - then the cuase would see support like none other... but again having a small team and paying with the big dogs is all that much more cooler too.

I do applaude Maxumums team, It's for a good cause.Everyone should run it, Even it there werent any teams at all!!!

It's just amazing how fast you have grown. I have every Issue in my Library/Bathroom. Always good reveiws. I've checked the site from time to time and the forums if i remember, It just couldnt hook me like the magazine that i always look forward too.

Yes we started out rather recently. After hitting up the forums and moving through the top 200 fairly quickly it was noticed that more intense measures were needed, so the founder of the team and the host of the forums wrote in to the mag about folding. it was in one of the letters to the editor type places. After that our team grew rapidly. We grew into the top 4th producing team in a few short weeks. Like was stated above brute force was taken in our approach, with many members only having 1 or 2 comps at most. I myself only have 3 comps for a total of 4.5 GHZ but yet am @ 22nd on the team. not anywhere near as high as a majority of your team point wise but we are still doing our part for folding.:)
