This is a sort of broad question, but I'm always lost when it comes to customs and tarrifs charges...
Does anyone know (who either works that area, or understands it :p: ) have any idea of how much I would be charged for a ~$360USD chip coming into Canada?
From the data I have 7-10% sales tax. I don't know if they charge you anything else but here in Europe sales tax is 15-25%
Why not declare it as $30? :p:

Cause if it is damaged/lost you can only have a claim to $30 of that $360 chip...
BUT, if its a pre-release product technically its not illegal to claim it much lower then retail. Since retail is not yet in existance. :P

Hope this helps:
Sent a buddy in Montreal a pair of 2400/512/533 xeons 2 years ago as a gift and they soaked him $50.00 tariff at customs..They retailed at app $350.00 back then..Thieves..it was a legit gift..
recently bought an ipod video 30gb off of ebay for 258cdn, received it yesterday from UPS, and paid $81 and change. UPS have always been higher with duties, USPS and Fedex are better im my experience.

Yes it is, shipped on July 23rd, was wondering if it was worth buying from the States.

Er, thanks? Orders have to be taken by the 10th to request from a distributer. I was thinking about placing an order.
