Hi guys i need some help with building a watercooling setup for just my future CPU.. and i need the best performance parts... but my watercooling knowledge is almost almost 0...

I was looking at Frozen CPU for block, radiator and pump but i think i just picked crap... and thats not the idea..

Rad:
http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-rad-12.html
Danger Den Black Ice Xtreme II Dual 120mm Radiator (Black) w/ Customizable Fittings Price: $61.99

Pump:
http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-pmp-27.html
Swiftech MCP655™ 12v Water Pump w/ 3/8" Conversion Kit (317 GPH) Price: $89.95

CPU Block:
http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-blc-218.html
PolarFlo 1/2" E Series CPU Water Block Price: $34.99

This seams (for a noob) to be a very good config, but how do the pros see it?

:slap: also any place to find this parts cheaper? FrozenCpu looks kinda expensive..

Thanks in advance!

The best will be less than 200USD but i can handle 200...

I plan making a reservoir with something like a bottle and then get a good one...

Thank You! but i have a question about the block... do you know if it will resist -50ºC (pure alcohol 96º)? I plan to chill the thing for a weekend and do some overclocking... seems to have like very small holes for the water flow faster? maybe some pieces of ice of the alcohol get stuck in there and create a mess..

Forgot to mension that the block is for LGA775...

Dont buy in FronzenCPU. They overprice their products.
Dont use reservoirs unless you want it for looks.
T-lines perform better.

@ ReD.SkY
McMaster have some T-fittings and T-line caps
I would use 7/16" tubing with 1/2" fittings so you dont need clamps.

if you plan on chilling a block for a weekend, I suggest using a danger den TDX block with the brass top for LGA775

for a radiator, a black ice extreme II or black ice GT 240

for a pump, a D5/MCP-655 (same pump)

then just run a simple t-line setup (must any acrylic reservoir will crack when chilled... same with delrin/acrylic waterblock tops)

all of the parts i said above are available at www.dangerdenstore.com

Just got my dice tube "back" so that idea is now at the trash :)

Will the redsky config be the best for a non-chilling setup? the pumps looks veeery expensive... but seems to be the best..

thnx!!

Edit: what do you think about this pump? http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=201&products_id=3112

That Setup looks great but I have some doubs about the block...

MP-05 Pro LE CPU Waterblock

In this picture http://www.dtekcustoms.com/productimages/waterblocks/MP-05-PRO_BP.jpg

The picture shows the heat exchange area, and for me it looks kinda small... looks ideal for a IHS-Less but maybe with and IHS it will perform bad... or its ok like that??

What about the polarflo block? to bad?

MP-05 is a fantastic block. this is watercooling, not aircooling; the idea is not to have massive surface area, as heat won't travel that far; the only source of heat in the CPU is the die, dead center in the IHS. the heat passes straight through the IHS faaaaar more than it does radially, so a cooling solution that will work well on a bare die will on an IHS too.

Actually, you see that area around the fins in the middle? Water cools that too, which is why it is actually good for an IHS CPU. Most blocks only cool the area near the core, i.e. Storm, but the MP-05 concentrates cooling on the core area, but also pulls heat from the surrounding area, covering the whole IHS. MP-05 is probably the best block for an IHS CPU.

And polarflo is terrible.

39.99 is not the LE CPU Waterblock, just MP-05 Pro. LE is $60.
