Is overclock.net dead?

Perhaps they are migrating to a new server.

hopefully they are down...they have some godawful nazi mods there...ask thrilla and some other ppl...i got banned for saying it was wrong to ban a few of the members they banned.

I love overclock.net... the mods are a little strict and they baned one guy once that shouldn't have been banned. I forget his sn, but he was very knowledgable and they kicked him for an offensive post.

I used to love oc.net, after they banned me for asking something in advance about hosting case mod pics on my own site, admin banned me... but meh, it was for good, I found XS and learned way more here :P btw didn't they have a rule that if you join another forum you'll be banned? That's how quite a few ppl I know got banned there, weird, they also banned my classmates for no reason...

This is not really rants, so not getting into details, the mods there abuse their power too much, and admin is too profit-oriented.

whatever.... Overclock.net is just fine. If you got banned, it's your own fault.
I'm a proud member for over a year. I get warnings from time to time, but I know I did wrong, and the mods are justified in what they do.

I'll give specific examples for him. They banned people for just joining a couple of other forums that were made by members that were banned. One of the was SPHERE he had a 5 day ban and needed to talk to someone so he made a second account just to private message them and he got permanently banned. I was banned for coming out and saying it was wrong for the admins to ban people just for going to their forums. Admin came to said forums and spammed them. He also got members to come and just say stuff on the forums. If that is not bad Moderating and Admining than I don't know what is.

Don't go attacking us saing "I will bite my tongue" or things like that when you don't know about it yourself. Don't assume we did something compleatly wrong to get banned because almost none of us did. By the way the mod who did most of the banning is Crash. If you've been there for any length of time you should have seen his Nazi moderating.

@ Burn, your stupid, he's clearly saying that your living proof of the horrors others are claiming the admins are at overclock, not that your agreeing with them, wich is more cut and dry than your little rule book.

overclock.net = a bunch of uninformative losers with small penis'; the classic expample of nerds that got the crap kicekd out of them all they're life and are now power hungry losers. hell ive gotten better infor from the Hard forums, and have dealt with smarter poeple at an emo skating rink.

Burn, tell me if this is right or wrong:
I was first perm. banned because I tried to sell my liquid metal TIM, crash unbanned me saying give me another chance I guess oc.net had too many ppl that needed help with, so I stayed.

Then I becamse cautious about what I do or say.
There was a case mod contest, I saw many people hosted their log on their own site during the first mod contest, it'll look good on their resume to, so I thought I want to do it too.
But being cautious again, I wanted to make sure by doing that I'm not violating any rules, so I PMed crash, he told me to PM admin, so I did. My site was a computer-ish site back then, I told admin I'll host my case mod there.
So, admin told me I've gone to far, and banned me, I was like wtf arse, but PMed him politely saying I had a good stay at oc.net and everything.

I'm not asking to be unbanned but don't you think that's weird?

Whether it's [H], AT, OC.net or your grandma's forum, XS should not and will not be the place to rant, argue one's justification of bans and talk smack about mods from those boards - regardless If their actions were right or wrong.
