Sorry to here about your bad luck there Major:(

Funny thing....I made the move from cars to computers 2 years ago thinking it would be cheaper. It's true that hot rodding computers is cheaper than hot rodding cars I think...but not by much...and that is a crazy thought given how expensive rodding cars can be.

The Mustang is still here.....the wife says it can come out on the "nice" days of summer.;)

BTW, only a little off topic here, but what size pot do you recommend for the vdd mod? I want to be on the conservative side....under 2v for sure. From my understanding, it's just a basic Pin 6 to ground off the 6520 IC just under the AGP slot.

Anything else I need to know besides the size of the pot?

I used a 10k vr, I set it mid range at 5k which gave me just over 1.8v you take the vdd measurement off the mosfet leg thats just below the Agp slot near the 6520 chip. Its an pretty easy mod if you have a small tip iron, I use a 15w weller. getting to the mosfet for a measurement is sorta hard. The post where I saw the mod (I think it was opp) said he soldiered a wire to the leg so he could take measurements, not a bad idea.
