More X1800GTO Crossfire DIscussion

OK, I want to Crossfire my Sapphire X1800GTO....

I'm having a hard time finding info though..

I understand youcan do Crossfire onthese cards without a link cable...

BUT...........

Do the card have to be Matched like the original SLI?

I'm going to order another X1800GTO Today.. But wanted to order the HIS for the possibility of unlocking it to 16 pipes.... I have no idea what happenes with crossfire at that point.. but thats not an issue....

Just want to do some Crossfire benching and then sell off one of the cards most likely



I've only found ONE review on Crrossfire GTO's............

tried His & PowerColor together, both flashed with modified bios and they didint work together.. atleast not with my intel mobo...

Someone on anotehr forummentioned I need the RD480 SB Chip.. I've got a RDX200 CF-DR so Now I'm wondering if thats an issue....

Grrr.....

I had to be an early adopter didnt I....
