E6600 + 7900GTX Sli

Intel 975XBX "Bad Axe" rev 304 (vmodded)
E6600 on stock Intel cooler
2X512Mb Kingston PC4300 3-3-3
2X EVGA 7900GTX
Tagan U15 580W

I just started playing around with this stuff, it'll take me a few days to get the best out this setup ... everything is still on stock cooling. I love the Conroe, it produces outstanding performance, but i love the most the way SLI works paired with a strong CPU ... check out the Nature score, it's simply amazing.

First full power run trough 2k1 produced 65014 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9002351) ... still need better memory and to vmod the cards just to prove what this can do on aircooling. Too bad i can't fit the Vapo LS on this board :(.

Thats the highest I've seen a conroe on stock cooler. Pretty damn amazing! Be nice to hit 4ghz on stock cooler if a step 6 comes out lol. Wishful thinking I know.

The highest Nature is Macci's, 766.2fps i believe, even if no one else could even come close even with similar clocks. I don't have any special tweaks, just the usual drivers performance settings, LOD and a little higher PCI-e clocks. The real strenght is in the CPU and these EVGA cards, they clock very well in stock form.

Pushing more on the CPU, 3.9+Ghz benchable with 1.6V in BIOS on Scythe Ninja. Also, moved to Teamgroup DDR800 Micron D9's, still alot more to tweak on the memory.

The RAM was at about 2.5V, but i'm not sure it needed that much anyway.
My guess is that the RAM is in fact running at a lower frequency and the FSB1333 setting is causing fake readings by the software on the Intel 975XBX. For example, with any other FSB setting the previous RAM i've had (Kingston PC4300) topped at 375Mhz 4-4-3 2.3V, with FSB1333 setting it seemed to work at 425Mhz 4-4-3 2.3V no problem.

amazing 3dmark 03 some people with conroes have had problems with this 3dmark, i especially like the 1022fps in wings of fury i think you have got the number 1 score on 3dmark03 on hwbot :) , 3dmark05 i must admit i would expect slightly higher as compgeek has 7900gt sli on the badaxe and he gets something similar and with yours being 7900gtx sli at high clock s as yours i'd expect his score to get thrashed , although in 3dmark 03 he gets about 40000 which yours beats easily
