Basically, I feel more need for juice as I do want to load test more than one unit at a time while vacuuming and working on powered tools, etc. I have 2 lines coming in to my work area which does help but unfortunately one of line is connected to living room and my office which eats up decent amount normally (TV + My SS run computer)... and can pop during hot day (I think the overload is cheap thermal based one for one),...
Still, it seems like I need new line of about 30-50a capacity for just this use pulled out. (Garage is my work area and right across is my main line coming in). I honestly don't want to deal with codes, etc and thinking about hiring electrician but have no idea how much I will have to eat up. Maybe someone can help?
Thanks in advance... (oh this is for US, california)
I expect wiring to be very simple even for code considering the distance is basically across wall...I know involved parts aren't expensive at all (I think there still is 2 knock out left on box) so mostly I am worried about the labour.
Thanks in advance :)

jinu , Take a picture of your electracal panel, If the 2 k/o are on the top across from the main breaker there are no lugs there to install breakers.

Even if there is no room for breakers, you can use mini or piggy back breakers. Rate for electricians should be in the neighborhood of $65.00 per hour + material. Look for around 3 hours or less.

I called this ONE freekin asshat to run a 220v line 15 feet to a box on the wall to plug in my autocascade...

$600

So I called chilly1 and he told me how to do it and I did it myself...
