Is the non premium version as good as P5WD2-Premium when it comes to overclocking ? I`m interested in aquiring P5WD2 or P5LD2-Deluxe and i don`t know what to do ?

Yes, premium just has some more extras you may not need. I have P5WD2 non premium and it just does great, 390fsb without vmch mod...

Mine can only do 285MHz without vmch mod. (with multi locked @ x14)

I`d want a board to reach ~295 fsb without mods.
What about P5LD2, can it do that ? If it does i wouldn`t mind saving around 50bucks.

yeah same thing my 1.02g doesnt like going over around 330.

at around 310 the system just shuts off whenever you exit the bios or reboot windows or reboot anywhere. it shuts off and about 4 seconds later comes back on.

I can go over 360 with default vmch, for 390 i need 1,6-1,65volts. Chipset actively cooled and cpu with dry ice. Only mod was vdroop. With P5WD2-E i need 1,8-1,9volts on the chipset for 380-390fsb. Maybe latest revision of the 955x...

And about P5LD2, i have no idea... sorry

If I put a 40mm fan on the passive nb cooler I can go higher.
If I use the 8-pin 12v version of the PSU I can go higher.

These are my observation on the P5WD2-E Premium

I thought the board could hit 450+ FSB easily?

I would wait for the new revision to come out. It would be sad if you want to get a Core 2 Duo CPU in a few months and having to change the board for few minor change of the motherboard.

I won`t get core2 in the next year for sure...

When you live on your parents money it isn`t so easy to update your rig constantly :(
