has anyone confirmed or denied that the 1.03G is or is not Conroe compliant ?
i just grabbed a E6600 from andre and have a Rev 1.03g on the way from my usual sources :)
i wont even mount that cpu if its not compliant as i dont want to smoke the cpu from some surge of overvolt or something like that.

It has been confirmed although not with anything too official from asus. Look for a p5wd2-e with 8 phase power. like this:

My mean ""1.03G is not coming now.""
P5WDG2-WS Pro and P5WD2-E 1.03G support Conroe, but they are in the market after July 20.

Man, whats with all these awesome boards with late release dates! Frustrating.
Lestat

its not late considering the conroe isnt released for another month
and let them keep working on them. ESPECIALLY asus. one thing they arent known for is making boards right the first time.

I wouldn't get to excited just yet. My old board was damaged and had to buy a new one and its still 1.02G. This is the new batch that just came from California too.
So I guess the July 20 date maybe right.+
What's funny is that I sent my 8 pin psu for repair so I am using my 4 pin 12V PC Power and Cooling and now I can't do 300 FSB any more. I guess you need that 8pin 12 volt of power to go beyond 300 FSB using x14 multi...
Yours should come with the 501 bios update like mine...

Huh?
I know of no way of doing this. You have to look at the mb itself unless there is something I don't know about...

P5WD2-E Rev 1.03g just has 3 pcie's (2x16x + 1x4x) actual rev 1.02g has 4pcie's ( 2x16x+1x+4x ), this should be in the specs in somewhere in the mobo box or shop catalog...
BTW thanks to god it was a misunderstood, i was going crazy :p: too bad it wont hit the street till 20th july :(

they need to stop making so many pci-e slots the only thing that even uses it is the video cards.
seriously though its a waste of space and hampers the use of other pci devices.
