Intel 975XBX Oem package - identify rev304 ?

In OZ alot of the Intel 975XBXs are whitebox oems without the retail box listing rev 304 as shown here

Asking retailers here they say they can't identify what rev the oems are as all they list on rev is 3xx.

Any other way for retailers to identify rev 304 without opening the oem packaging ?

I dont think so. There is sticker on the board itself next to ram slots between ram slot and CPU socket. But for that they will have to look at the board itself.

eva2000, I just got today 2 Bad Axe's rev 304, white boexes as well - not even white box to be honest - mobo came in anti static bag and that's it - and as ppl said - it's written on the mobo itself Rev 304.

Intel reseller here in israel claims all the stock is Rev 304 !

Just buy a DFI Infinity 975X/G, 1,000NIS for that kind of mobo is cheap! :D

No way, it costed me $380 here M8. I am preety sure only insane people will buy it on ebay.
Prices are not exactly cheap here in India when it comes to motherboards and graphic cards :mad:

Never knew there were computer nerds in India with cutting edge equipment. Don't mean to sound like an ignorant American but when I watch my gf's home videos all the towns and villages are destitute. My gf is gujarati btw.

heh, thats rural india. I live in Mumbai aka Bombay. One of the biggest cities in India and world.
And there are plenty of us. Actiually have a good online community of indian overclockers. Not as extreme as XS but we are trying with whatever resources available to us.

Anyway I noticed while traveling around the world that Israel is not presented correctly on the world media!
You will never see a picture of Tel-Aviv (Short version of NY), it's "Too advance" for the Israeli image!
While I'm at it! Every day the Palestinian try to kill Israeli's deliberately (Sending rockets, suicide bombers etc...) and it's not all failures! But the world media doesn't care!

i think S&M said the newer oem packs don't even have a box just antistatic bag so guess you can see he board rev unlike oems with boxes in the way of reading the rev on the board PCB ?

yup - don't need to open the bag to see the rev .... you can see it through - it also came with softwares cd, i/o shield of course, 8 pin to 4 pin power connector, sata cables, intel manual and sticker (board layout and I/o layout ) ....
