I got my Gecube X1900XTX to 732/868mhz on stock hsf air and 766/904mhz on water http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=103927.

Now need a crossfire mastercard. But what's the average overclocks on these crossfire mastercards ? It does seem they clock alot less than the XTX/XT regular cards ?

Any direct feedback from crossfire owners ?

thanks

George

Im not a CF owner, but from what I've seen, they are capable of extremely high clocks (I've seen 800+ on the core) but the average tends to fall between 700-740 on the core.

Mine looks pretty average:

I´ve also benched core at 756 but it´s worse than my XTX. Haven´t tried overclocking the mastercard only because the scores are much nicer in crossfire.:) All watercooled. Master card is MSI and it has 1,26ns mem.

Thats a good Master evil. The one I have now does 742/865, the previous card only managed 725/805. Both BBA retail cards eva ;)

Mine did 730/830 on cold (+5 C) water. Anything colder was too cold for it, anything warmer...lets not go there. Unlike the XTX's which are usually quite solid overclockers, the mastercards are pretty fickle. Do you know whether your friend's card has 1.1ns or 1.2ns memory? Cards equipped with the former tend to act more like XTX's than XT's in regards to both core, and memory of course.

I don't think mastercards with 1.1ns exist.. At least, I have not seen one yet.

Some of the earliest ones (and many if not most of the ones at the top of the ORB) do. They switched down to 1.2ns later on. Very frustrating as most 1900 Crossfire owners pair up with XTXes anyways and ATi should realize this.

How about normal X1900XT cards? I'm ordering one next week so I would like to know :) I would be using stock cooling for starters and upgrading to VF900cu later.

Hmm...Some say the Zalman is way better and quiter too but then some the stock cooler at full speed is better and also very loud. How about Arctic Cooling accelero?

I have a powercolor x1900 master card.
http://www.kvenna.net/Even/cf_max.jpg
This is on water with about 24.5c ambient and water temp @ 29c.
Needs 1.575v @ core, stock at mem. core temp @ 65c, mosfet @ 69c under full load.

I run it at 600/841 24/7, 1.3volt at core.

looks like it could be troublesome even to get mastercard to match my poor clocking x1900xtx at 766/904 heh

well my HIS X1900 Crossfire card came today... to run it standalone it's just like a regular X1900XT/XTX card right ? gonna test it by itself first :)
