Okay, I've got my northbridge on my 8RDA+ cooled by water currently. BIOS usually shows 31C or so. I am running the northbridge and 80W pelt block on GPU... Is this fine or should I take it off the water because of the pelt? I've got the line splitting to both NB and GPU and then combining to go into the Rad....

um... personally i would take the water cooling off the nb if you also have a pelt on it... your probally heating up the nb more than if you just used air.

Yea, I would say try an older heatsink on there just to see what kinda difference it would make. It couldn't hurt, and you will know for sure if it worthwhile to leave the water on your NB.

Hrm, what kind of temps would I get with air on the nb? Maybe I could pelt the NB? What size is the NB? Would a 40x40 pelt fit?

What would be the point of putting a pelt on the northbridge? A zalman with a 40mm fan works great and keeps mine cool even at 1.95 VDD.

What exactly is a Zalman? And my philosophy is the cooler the better, eheh.

What's the difference between these two?
Zalman (http://www.coolerguys.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=840556016175&Category_Code=CPC-ChP)
NB Maxx (http://www.coolerguys.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=840556046011&Category_Code=CPC-ChP)

I've got some extra of these (http://www.inflowdirect.com/sun40fan4pin.html) fans... How much better would one of those sinks and those fans be versus stock nb cooling (on 8RDA+ and NF7-S)? How about versus this (http://www.coolerguys.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=840556017158)? I did notice the Zalman is taller, but not as wide as that sink.
