I have Been trieing to get 2 7600GS to run in SLI on a i975X A-YDG. I know there is no Official Way But I Have some Time.
I ran across the Beta Mod 81.85 driver. So I took a 7800GTX and installed it,loaded the driver. Then I added a 7600GS and Upon bootup the Nvidia Icon poped up and said you have a SLI Capable system now. I am thinking great. yet the 81.85 drivers do not support 7600GS. So I pointed windows to a folder with the Current 91.31's and let them install.Opening the Nvidia control panel revieled a SLI capable system but with no MB support. The Curious thing is all the time I spent trieing to install the 7600GS togater I never saw the " SLI capable system" Baloon pop up. also running 3dmark 05 I scored like 2200 which seems right for a single 7600GS.

running 3D05 on the singlr 7800GTX I scored 7675. With the 7600GS installed in the maner above I scored 8200 all other settings the same. That is a 525 PTS advantage.
What does this Mean? anything?

I am going to fiddle some more and see if I get anywhere.

I am not excactly sure what you mean but the 83.40 betas have no chipset lockout and support the 7600gs.

AHH so I will try the 83.40"s. I did not know they had a Package out that would unofficially support SLI on the i975.
