90pt???
No, no,

13069 by Catalyst6.3
12979 by Catalyst6.5
13608 by Catalyst6.6

So I could receive 500~600pt gain,
though you may not call it "significant";)

Anyway, WR will be for you soon, Kinc:)

I am still with 6.3's... 6.4 and 6.5 caused random crashing and general bad stability on my computer... Even caused weird screen artifacting when loading windows...

These issues fixed in 6.6?

Repoman
06-24-2006, 12:24 PM
I had similar issues, not random crashes but games just wouldn't start. BF2 locks up at startup with 6.5, fine with 6.3  I will try 6.6 tonight!

Have the 6.6betas caused 1 specific issue.

When a video plays (pick one) does it downclock the video card to its default 2D clocks? Weather you disable the services in the 6.5's it caused this issue when I used anything but CCC. If it has eliminated this problem WAHOOOO!

Yup, that was another problem for me with 6.5's... When I had my card overclocked, and tried to open up a video file, it would crash my computer...

Nobody has the release info. on these beta's, or they just don't come with one until the final release? What i see is benchmarks and not gaming quality screenshots or information on this thread. Anyone tried the 6.6B with any games to notice any quality difference?

6.6 is supposed to be the donglefree drivers aren't they?

That has only been suggested for the X1900 GT. It supposed to = masterless Crossfire, so yes, no dongle.

That will be an answer to 7900 GTs in SLi if prices drop on the X1900 GTs. It will not be an answer to the 7950 GX2 though as it still has a more unique way of being able to deliver multi-GPU performance.

Supposedly there is card somewhat like the 7950 GX2 that is two X1600s, and I don't see two X1600s approaching two 7900 GTs in real world performance.

Pleased to see - now - an optimised driver for '06 :D

But the driver is known as "conroe" optimised driver. Can someone test it with an other system than conroe ? I'm afraid that the gain is from the system and not the video card
