This should work on most x1800xt 512mb cards.
Opening the bios with rabit WILL cause problems, so don't do it.
Fan speeds have been made to keep the card cool under 3d and quiet in 2d.
3d speeds of 708/800 1.45v
2d speeds of 275/700 1.175v

Could you make a little guide for what to change (e.g. for gpu/mem clocks & volts), so that everyone can make such a custom bios for his own clockspeeds ?
Or do u simply edit the speeds and volts in rabit ?

you can play with rabit yourself, but the range of the sliders is somewhat prohibitive. This was done using rabit, but don't open it, the sliders will reset and goof up the clocks

Why not use ATiTool and enable 3D Detection? There you can make your own working profiles, with sound notifications too when they're activated & disabled.
For my 2D Settings when I had my X1800XT, I used 500/500...

for now i went back to the stock x1800xt pe bios and just modified fan speeds. i'll mess with it tomorrow
