greetings.

I wonder if anyone has experience with this particular ram. It's said to go past the 204mhz.

I was only able to hit the specified 186mhz before my a7n8x limited me.. (crapping out at higher FSBs.. I have to cut the L12 bridge on my 2700+ to get higher). but before I raise the knife on my CPU I'd like to know what the ram is capable of.

how far could you push it ?

On a P4 , it did 243MHz(486MHz DDR) with Cas 2-3-3-7 and 3.2Vmem.....It could do 204MHz(408MHz DDR) at Cas 2-2-2-7 and 3.1Vmem.....

U need a ton of voltage to get that module to clock...

huh? 243 - in words - twohundredandfourtythree megahertz ?!
I thought that was only possible with the PC3500?! I'll eat a tree if my 3000 goes anywhere near that (in case the hardware survived the necessary Vmod.. I got two left hands).

"eat a tree" I'd love to see that. ;)

I got some in a kx7 204 @ 5-2-2-2 with 3.2v.

ok. If I can't get past the 200mhz mark after cutting the L12 bridge I'll turn off the machine and visit my girlfriend.. rofl

Ive run up to 217 FSB CAS2 , 2, 6 , 2, T2 @ 3.1 v

Its rev 2.1 Winbond stuff. I had to RMA mt rev 1.1 to get it.

hipro why don't you put that stick in your granite bay rig and try for 1ghz bus

My XMS512 stick does:
- 225MHz fastest timings (1T) on my 8K9A 3,2V
- 230MHz fastest timings (2T) on my 8K9A 3,2V
- 230Mhz 6-3-3-2 on an 8RDA+ 2,9V (I think.. board wasn't mine and can't remember the timings. Wasn't fast timings anyway)

Cos ,first, GB Mobos don't have multipliers for the CPU and Mem.....Only 1:1.......and ,second,I have to find a CPU that can Climb so high...... ;) :D
