Yes, you read right. Stock cooling, at 2.7GHz. Here it is idling at 36*C.
I'll Prime95 it tonight. It should be just fine. :)

not something superior anyway
my Old Venice 3200+ was able to do 300x9 @ the stock voltage using stock cooler, urs need 1.6v to do it
even my Pi score is 4 seconds better than urs
u should try 300x9 since it gave me better results in stability @ lower voltage than 270x10
try it since u won't loose anything by trying
i am sure u can run ur cpu @ 300x9 @ lower voltage

Consitering he's on a Biostar motherboard, that isn't as bad as you make it out to be. Nice clocks, make sure to get better cooling / lower the voltages a bit.

Next time, post this in the AMD section perhaps. That would be the best place for this.

No that's pretty bad. 2.6ghz is hittable on 1.425 on my Venice. It is surprising because E3's or the ones that I have seen all overclocked fairly well.
Also those spi numbers look a bit low. I have slighty better ram 2.5-3-3 and I was hitting 33s at 2.7ghz. Try closing Windows bloatware.

I did SPi at 2750 unstable with 2-2-2-5 and I hit 32.?s I'll mess around a bit more.

Show us some prime. 1.60v on the stock cooler is going to be interesting lol.

:fact:
my sempron at 1.6v and the stock cooler was definitly putting out the heat.

My limit is my PSU. 20amps on the +12v, and the rails are not perfect... I'm waiting on a 20-24pin converter for my old rock solid PSU.
And if it doesn't improve my OC, I will RMA this board. I have the LBBLE stepping, it should be perfect for 2.9+GHz

His ram its running slow, with loose timming & command rate 2T, while you are almost DDR500 @2-2-2-8 (Most probably 1T)
I think i have found those 4 segs.:D
But still i agree with you, that clock with 1.6v isnt impresive at all.

It's my PSU, I should have mentioned it's state... POS. I think that means I am doing pretty good, especially with my load temps of around 42*C at 1.7v.
EDIT the voltage should have read 1.65v on the superpi score...

1.7 on a stock cooler

1.7 on any cooler is a little crazy outside of benching. its not the heat, voltage that high will kill the imc pretty damn quickly. dont run it higher than 1.6 if you want your cpu for more than a year... by the way i get 33.5s with 2 gigs of ram at 2.5, granted i have a dual core and run in realtime. 250*10 vs. 278*9 made a huge difference in my score, although i did change tref and read preamble/mx async latency, but i doubt that it makes up for the 7s change i got, from 41 to 34. 9x multi is much better for super-pi at least from my experience.

The Tforce6100-939 board he's running is one of the best 939 boards around ;)

right, all the tforce-boards are clocking like hell.
i have the same setup (tforce4 ultra + 3200) and get about the same results.
running 1,6V daily for rosetta @ about 2,6ghz.

Why do want to RMA when its not broken?

Because weird things keep happening... This was refurb, I should be getting better OC results, though...
My 3000+ which is now naked on stock cooler. IHS for date codes:

Punishing it with 1.65v only musters 2.835GHz :(

Do timings affect Pi that much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eh, a little bit. Maybe .5 sec or so. Been there done that. anyways, 2.7 is easily hittable. mine hits 3.05ghz+ on 1.6v. Keep trying to push it higher, and I recommend you not go over 1.63ishv on stock cooling :slap: btw whats the stepping on it?

 :eek2: but that sucker on some nice cooling, push 1.7v and see how high itl OC w00t!
Not bad :) I passed (benchable) 2.7 on my old Winchester on air. I loved that CPU..taught me so much *sniffs*

I had a 3200+ Venice that did 2.7 Ghz on stock volts on air.
I tested it out months later so this shot is on water, but it worked on air @ these settings.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v729/absolute035/overclocking/Capture_01012005_004455.jpg
Water did 2.8 Ghz 1.40v.

O man. I could only manage somewhere aroudn 2.6Ghz for stock volts on my 3000+ .
Once he gets it sorted out it should run faster for sure.
From the screenie i gather he's using OB video/Vista/2T on ram/bad timings.
Considering all that it doesn't look too bad. Here's my file server with a gigabyte k8nsc-939(nf3) and an early venice which has been running 24/7 for a long time...
