I'm having a helluva time getting my FX-60 to boot up with mushkin redline 2x512mb. I can get it to boot fine with some generic ram.

I tried plugging in my memory timings that I know are perfect. I left the htt at 200 and put the multi at 13x. If I put the redline in I can't get it to boot up.

The cpu temp is above freezing when I boot up and never gets below -10. I read through Major's post about the cold bug already.

Any help would be appreciated.

it's the vdimm

used the generic and set the vdimm to 2.9v...hopefully that doesn't kill the generic.......save bios settings and stick on stick of redlines in and see how you go.....if ok do the other and way you go

Thanks for the tip. I already tried many different vdimm voltages and none will allow the redline to boot up.

3ghz is stable with 200x15 though :)

Maybe you have a bad stick, try memtesting the ram @ stock.

The sticks were fine until I switched from my X2 to the FX-60. I would memtest the ram at stock, but it won't even load the bios with any settings I try.

Does anyone have any more suggestions?

I finally got the redline to boot. So, I saved those settings in CMOS reloaded. I went and put in some tighter ram timings and it won't boot again. Even the CMOS reloaded settings won't allow the redline to boot.
