Hi,
When i boot my A8R32-MVP it locks up for around 40 seconds at usb initializing.
This only happens when my USB Hub is connected and it's starting to get irriating havin to wait to boot so long.
Also i have 4 sticks of RAM on in my mobo (yes i know i shouldn't have taken 4x512) but it doesn't let me boot in 1:1 ratio (DDR 400)?! (it just automatically resets it to 333Mhz ddr...) not even speaking about 1T @ stock speeds...
Does anyone have any advice on how i could possibly fix this?

Ive got a hub aswell, and yea it takes very long indeed. not 40 seconds though, but maybe you're exaggerating a bit.
are the 4 sticks identical?

Yep the sticks are identical, 4x 512mb G.Skill GBGH and i'm serious about the 40 seconds, i tried usin a stopwatch to record it last boot...
Sometimes it doesn't boot at all and my restart button makes the comp reboot with a black screen so i always have to use the main power button...

Well I have a Razer Copperhead USB mouse and when I get onto the Windows logon, the mouse fails. I have to like unplugand replug the mouse again for it to work. You get these issues with this board?

Yes, i do get that issue with my Razer, but it happens on nearly all the comps i've tried it on so i don't think it's got anything to do with the board itself.

Yes i've got bios 0404, i'm getting horrid bandwidth with this mode, runnin at 200 mhz mem (my fsb is around 260) when it can easily do 240 2-2-2-5 @ 3.2 volts... bandwidth is alot worse than even 2 sticks at stock in 1:1 with cpu.
@Bar i know performance on the SB600 is gonna be real good but i don't think it's worth changing my mobo for a little bit of performance. even sending my current mobo back to asus sounds more logical  .

mine is a very good and steady clocker, yours should be too. are you sure u haven't got any odd timings set i.e. very low MAL/RP or low DRAM Skews? Tried 4x HTT multi just to be sure that's not it? Things like that.

No concrete info right now, we can only hope as the ULi southbridge supply has dried up and I'm sure ATI wants mobo makers to use their SB given that it's pin compatible.

Nah, was just kidding. Definitely not worth it, unless like me, you want RAID 10 (not 0+1) and aren't in the mood to shell out for a Conroe plus high quality DDRII in addition to an Intel chipset based-mobo (although if money was no issue I'd love to go back to Intel chipsets).

Yea, i'm pretty sure all my timings are normal and scew and stuff too, i even tried reverting to factory settings but it still doesn't wanna do 4x512 1:1 cpu...
@Bar I'm going to wait and see what happens at the end of the year before i change my cpu, if Conroe is better i'll go with Intel, if the next AMD solution is better then i'll go with AMD :hehe:
