Dont now if i can do this when i posted this in another topic, but its a big problem and should have its own thread.

I have seen that some peeps have the same problem as i have about raising the GPU volt on board. I have tested every trick in the book, flashed with like 10 diff. BIOS and tested all the drivers that is out even Beta ones.
When i have flashed my BIOS with a XL i can raise the volt in ATI tool and that works, i can see that i getting more volt on the board with the multimeter. But it seems like its not getting all the way to the core, ok it can be bad cores sure ( how do i RMA a card that does work) but most likely not when we can raise the volt alittle bit but not over 1.2volt. I can raise my to max 1.145 and get a stable clock at 590 and that is about it. Memory is not a problem ther i can go to 700 when bumping up the volt in ATI tool. I have found mesuring points on the X1800 card so at least we can see how much volt we are giving it. But what we need is a good old Hard vmod (i think). Can it be something that is holding up the volt to get to the core by any chance?
Please some one that understand the back of a grafic board, contact me so we can solve this problem as i understand many X1800XL has the same problem.
Dont let this die out before we hace fixed the problem.

i have successfully raised my X1800GTO's vgpu to 1.4v and managed to get 720mhz on the core. try using this program:
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/89

don't use that to change your clocks though.. and make sure you use your original X1800GTO bios.

Did you have the voltbug PRIOR to this?

Orignal is 12pipe, so flash from orignal to ngnomes 16pipe?
dont do the bgnomes16pipe->empty->XL->VBNomes16pipe???!?
