Hello all. I have been spending some time tweaking memory timings since the release of the new nbitor. Dynasty has already posted his bios, and I havent checked it but he never said anything about different memory timings so I will throw mine out there. For the bench scores that I ran to compare the difference in memory performance with different timings my setup was:

DFI Expert rev. ABO
TEamgroup zeus pc4000 Bh-5 @ 233 2-2-2-5 (Having serious memory trouble with my expert, anyone with some experience with this combo a pm would be much appreciated)
X2 3800+ 0601UPMW @ 2800 mhz
EVGA 7900gt CO SC (I got this card back from RMA and it has a newer pcb and comes stock clocked at 1.45 volts in 3d!)
The clocks on the core were 625 mhz (though the max I have found was 710 w/ 40mhz delta currently). The memory was run at two different settings as the tighter memory timings increased performance a lot but reduced maxed oc.

Results with 3dmark05

625/870 (Tight timings)

05: 11015

625/900 (Stock timings)

05: 10820

The benefits are pretty tangible and I did test even tighter timings but decided to drop them as they really impacted max memory overclocks and offered minimal improvements. For those of you that want that bios/timings PM and I can help you tweak your memory timings for your specific card. The bios sports 550/790 (1580) stock clocks which I figure most gt users can hit with a 20mhz delta.

Also, this can help those of you who dont want to push your memory or cant push your memory past the 900mhz mark. This is good for gt users as we can get 900+ mhz memory performance with less mhz which puts less strain on the crappy memory voltage regulators on the card :slapass: . Anyway, less talking and more results. You guys tell me how it works out for you and I can adjust it as the bios gets more publicity.

I'd LOVE to try this out, but I'm a chicken :(

and I don't have a pci video card in case I screw up the flash......

Well I tested it on two EVGA CO SC cards and it worked without problems. So it really shouldnt be very risky.

Which timing set did you use from that .rom?

Sounds good...........how will this bios work with a standard evga 7900gt at 1.2v? I plan on v-modding in the near future to 1.4-1.5v.

Currently using a vf1 plus cooler.....freaking massive!!......but runs the core at 44c idle 53c full load at 566/1740 (granted its 30c in my room, damn a/c!!

I got an inno3d brand and defualt timings are set 0 but when i press auto detect it forwards me to timingset 7 so which one does my card really use?

Alright, sorry for not replying sooner but at least I can answer your questions now.

For the 2nd to last poster, the bios will only adjust your memory timings so you wont see any core voltage/core oc improvement, and you will more than likely loose memory overclock, but will nevertheless gain a nice boost in performance. DO NOT THINK YOU CAN OVERCLOCK THE SAME WITH THESE SETTINGS!!!!

For the last poster, all the 7900 series cards use timingset7 so that is the right one for your card.

I've seen on another thread he modded his bios to give the geometric clock a negative delta value, can it also work on the 7900GT ? ( just for experimental purposes ) his card was a 7300GT

Could you send it also to eizei2k5@gmail.com since the attachement doesn't work.

Same question here.. how can be edited/flashed negative delta values with Nibitor?
