We are building a Lian li v2000 with phase and high performance water inside for a customer, I need to get a good psu, requirements are:

Setup is:

sli of 7900gtx
Opteron 150
Raptors raid
2x sata hd
dvd writer, sounf borad, etc

The PSU has to have:

One or two fans, but on the back and on the front, not in the botton.
Not uber sized.

Any help??

I have a feeling this thread's gonna be moved :p: But before it does - PCP&C 510 SLI....I've got two of them and love them ;)

I would buy a Silverstone ST65ZF Zeus - 650W. The only thing, is that it is a very expensive source, but clearing is also a good source, this sack maximum picks of 710w and it is a very stable source and of a quality practically inigualable. If you believe that with less it can take you the whole since PC you can catch one of 560w of this same mark. To my I like for the quality so good that they have these sources, they are not so beautiful neither modulares, but apart from this I give them a 10: D

PD. Pardon for my bad English

Greetings Mariano ;)

It's a great psu, especially for it's size ;) Not quite the power of my Zippy 700W, but it's also STANDARD ATX size and has a 1x12V rail - which will work better with AMD/SLI. Great power to all rails...overall, probably your best bet since you're looking for a "smaller" psu......

Mushkin 650W! I think it's an outstanding psu, top of the line components will match your top of the line phase change units. This power supplies' cables are top notch and so easy to use to make a professional build. People who have used it will only have good things to say about it. I like it much better than my PC P&C 510 which I still think is a great psu. The fans are much more quiet while providing very stable power for my phase/7900GTX SLI machine.

Thanks guys, no idea about that mushkin, there is a review oin the xs front page, what I didn't saw in that revie was about eficiency and riple.
The price is not bad, compared to a pcp&c.
Size is normal I think.
Nice!
any other advice or experience ?

Hmmm....from the looks of it, that PSU MAY be a bit bigger than the standard ATX size. The rails do look impressive though, but you're right - someone needs to give the efficiency and ripple specs of the psu. Price wise, I think it actually may cost a bit MORE than the pcp&c 510, but one thing that's always good to take into consideration is the warranty for the PSU. PCP&C offers one of the best warranty services I've ever dealt with. You have a problem, call them for an RMA, and it's back to you within a week. 5 years coverage :toast: LOL I sound like a PCP&C fanboy, although I REALLY prefer Zippy psu's but those are too big for your application :p:

Yeap, also, I live in argentina, that means I'm :banana::banana::banana:ed about warranties, so it is like to buy without warranty at all, it will cost me more to send the psu to rma than to buy a new one.

The Mushkin is only about an inch longer than my PC P&C 510.

I am still using my PC P&C 510 in my V2000 Chilly1 phase change rig in the bottom of the case along with the phase change unit, but I would have room for the Mushkin without too much of an issue.

Where do you plan to have the power supply and the compressor orientation?

Thanks it's a work in progess constantly and that's an old picture now.

I love the Mushkin for asthetics as it's extremely good looking and will go nicely with my new build on my other computer.

Nice rig indeed!
We will put all in the botton, dual radiator and condenser, all is custom sized, condensor, radiator, etc, and the layout is being designed yet, but don't worry, I will post pics when we have something done :)

Hmmm fitting a condenser, radiator, compressor and a power supply will be a lot to jam in there. I'll be interested to see pictures and/or know how you're planning to do it. Fitting all the stuff in mine was interesting but at least my suction line was fairly long so I could flip my unit around otherwise it seemed a bit backwards. I do need to raise the airflow in the bottom as it gets rather warm.

Looks like you've got enough room on the other side of your condenser to fit another 120x38mm fan ;)

I do actually, good idea. Sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread.

Now, lets find the perfect power supply for Ssilencer.

No problem at all, because this v200 rig is now my first interest :)
We are planing something really groundbreaking, something like a phase and high perf watercolling all in one, that you can just slide in the botton side of a v2000 case ;)
The watercooling part will be 12mm hoses, mcp 655, and a really nice 120.2 radiator, custom sli blocks also.

This Mushkin looks outstanding comparing to other ~600watt psus.
My first thought was Seasonic S12-600 but it has "only" dual 12V rail (mushkin has 4). Next thing about seasonic: 12V provides 432watts...mushkin has 528watts.

I suggest mushkin.
