Alright, I sold my last system and its time to build one to hold me out till Conroe releases. I have 450$ to spend on the cpu and motherboard. I was thinking of getting a conroe supported motherboard and when conroe comes out just swap it into the motherboard. Thats why I dont wanna spend alot on this cpu.
So I wanna see everyone elses suggestions.

Simple as FCG said although why not hold on till other motherboards are released, it aint that far off now?

if you ASOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NEED conroe support RIGHT NOW, then i'd go Intel BOX975XBX. But if you can hold off for about half a month, you could get a pretty good conroe supporting motherboard for less than half the price of the BOX975XBX
how about the p5wd2-e premium or p5wd2g-ws. those are heavy overclockers
