i am looking to get a tv tuner for my comp but i want it to be 1280x1024. im not sure what the hauppauge cards support since they are not posted on the site.. any recommendations?

You can wacth full screen 1280x1024 with the hauppauge.
PVR 250, or 350 are good cards.

why record at 1280x1024 when the signal you get from cable is only IIRC 576i. Would be an awful waste of space.

I recently purchased OnAir USB HDTV Tuner and I'm very happy with it so far. The tuner receives both digital and analog signals and supports QAM. well all i want is a good resolution that isnt fuzzy, i dont care about space

The PVR 250 is actually older tech than the PVR 150.
As far as the fuzzy picture, that is usually the video card and decoder used.

the video card or decoder? im positive its the resolution, when the card can only go a max of 720x480 and i want to play it full screen, its gunna be fuzzy

you cant make the broadcast signal any better...if you want clean picture @1280x1024 get HD 720p ;)

What you are talking about then is the cable/satellite signal. If you don't have HD then the signal is typically 720X480.
I assumed you meant at first you wanted to be able to play back stuff at 1280. As usual I assumed wrong.
