Just got a sapphire x1900xtx...

But when I checked the speeds, it was set at 500/600. And when I raised the core to stock 650 my computer booted... When I used ati tools to find max core it booted around 620...

I have raised my mem to stock 775, seems it have no problems there. And my core is currently 600.

Why is this happening I don't get it?

Edit: Getting artifact errors at 620core in ati tools

500/600 are 2D-freqs. You have to increase the volts before you OC with ATITool. Reading
this (http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=gethowto&number=2&howtopage=161&howtoID=61) should get you going.

Suspected it... But I can only see 2D clocks in ATI tools...

Do I need another version?

Nope. It is clearly explained in the linked article. But still make sure you have the newest 0.25 beta 14 version. Versions prior to beta 13 may not work for your card.

U can use AtiTool but u'll loose the 2D/3D separate frequencies. So u'll have your card oc'ed 24/7.

Negative, just have ATT switch profiles when it detects 3D and when 3D goes away switch back to 2D.

Isnt it possible to start with my custom config in Ati Tools? Or are my clocks right when I start windows? Because I have to open ati tools to get my fan to spin at 100% which I have changed in my custom profile!?

You must enable ATITool to load in Win startup. Settings -> Startup. Fan speed must be saved to the custom profile in use from the fan speed tuning page.

It seems to run quite OK now... 720/840mhz @ stock cooler - havent really played with it yet, waiting for VF900...

But 1 thing I do NOT get is, when i wanna watch something in media player etc. it goes down to 400/600 speeds. Computer crashes if I load my profile!
