New ASUS P6T Deluxe Version 2???

    http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...46&modelmenu=1

Does anyone have any information about this new motherboard? It wasn't on the website a couple of days ago if I'm not mistaken...and I can't seem to find much info about it anywhere else...or am I mistaken?

Maybe it will be slightly less freaking expensive. Sheesh...When are Sub $199 SLi/X-Fire 1366 motherboards due out. This era of Intel seems VERY ridiculously priced. I need to buy a $300 motherboard, to install my $300 CPU into it, and my $300 6GB ram kit, anyone else see where im going with this? Ok, very sorry for getting off topic, im just pissed I cant afford this stuff now.
    Nothing anymore

i dont think that there will be anything under $275 for a while, the i5 and i3 on the other socket will be that price bracket

There has to be a reason for the V2 release, maybe V1 is fubar and new adopters are being shafted again.

A change (improvement?) would be that it is listed to support higher RAM frequencies .... does the old P6T Deluxe have some kind of limitation on the DRAM speed? Maybe something in it's circuit that makes it not ideal for higher speeds?? I will be EXTREMELY pissed if this is the case.

Are there any reports of the P6T Deluxe running DRAM speed of DDR3 2000+ and being stable? I don't believe I've seen any now that I come to think of it. And my memory will not run at DDR3 2000 on my P6T Deluxe, even though it is rated 2000MHz stock. Yes, I made sure the voltage and timings were set to what it was rated for, it just won't work.

Is there something fishy going on here? I think Asus may be pulling a fast one on us here, and the owners of the P6T Deluxe are going to get shafted with a board that can't operate stabley at higher DRAM speed.

I have a strong supsicion that new version has to do with sas controller and the fact that you cannot set ich10 on raid setup and boot from a sas drive. Meaning that if you want a sas drive as boot disk then ich10 cannot be set as raid option. Vice versa if you set ich10 on raid you can actually see a sas drive once you are in OS. That is ,ofcourse, just a suspicion since i read some posts of this problem in asus forums while V2 has no sas controller.

Sounds like a probable reason for V2 i'd think.

So, where can I buy this "V2" board? NOBODY seems to carry it. I don't need SAS.... it's either this or the P6T6...
