Wink I7 965EE- some Air Cooling OC action

Thanks to a good friend, finally receive my I7 965 today

Since the 1366 socket kits for my cascades did not arrived yet, here are some Air OC action

Used the GB EX58-UD5 and the Tuniq Tower with "special mounting kit" that you can see in this photo:

OK - let's start with SuperPI 1M with 4 cores:

    Less than 9sec quite easy

Can it go even far with 2 cores?? - let's check it:

    4.7 GHz Air

How about bandiwth with low timmings - 7-7-7-20 :

OK, let's turn on the 4 Cores and the HT .. does it run 2006 at 4.400Mhz .. oh yeh

    8316 Air

And let's spee if run WPrime at 4.4 with 8 threads ...

A quick run in Aquamark with low clocks on vid cards - 320K easy

OK, that's it for now ...

Next I may give a try on the Rampage II .. I also love to test the EVGA X58 but they are still not available here

If the 1366 mounting kit arrived until Friday, I hope have some Cascade action in the Weekend ..

This CPU definitively have some potential

That stack of CD's is what makes these clocks so high...see? It creates dynamic load balancing.

yes, i know what dynamic loadline is, just cracking a joke.

    Hi Pedro... greetings from Portugal

    Nice overclocks

I will be building a system based on a I7 965EE soon and since you have been playing with one of those... what would be in your opinion the max 24/7 stable and safe overclock for a I7 965EE watercooled ?

I will probably be using a Asus Rampage II Extreme and DDR3-1600...

Anyone else with an opinion on this would be welcome

    Thanx to you all

    Nice testing xD
How high do you guys think the 965 will go for 24/7 phase operation? I'm hoping for 5 Ghz but that may be pushing it...
