new NB/SB Aqua Computer waterblock for 790i ref.

    http://www.pcgameshardware.de/aid,65...ainboards_vor/
    translation:
    http://translate.google.fr/translate...hl=fr&ie=UTF-8

price is 49,90 euros @ AC
    from AC web site:

The chipset cooler for motherboards with 790i chipset cools both North and South Bridge on the motherboards by reference design. The soil is cooler from a massive copper block manufactured and has a stainless steel lid and a port terminal plexiglass. The water overflows inside the cooler to cool the two chips on the motherboard, thereby ensuring optimum heat dissipation. Similarly, the cooler in the development of a low flow resistance optimized.

sounds like this is for reference boards only, probably too short on SIIE
(hope this is not a repost)

you could always order directly from AC. Don't they ship to individual customers in the US ?

edit: yeah I just checked on their site: sounds like you got to ask about the conditions if you want them to ship anything out of the EU...so no automatic checkout for the US...

Im very surprised more block manufactures dont do this. Most boards have a 1 inch path going from the SB to NB that is free of components sticking up since they usually have their own flat metal heat sink connecting the 2.

Yeah AC needs a better US distributor, dunno why they don't look at Petra or PPCS for example. I have dealt with both of these companies and had great experiences. AC has some great looking stuff but dealing with a company on the other side of the pond (I'm in the US) is difficult and I don't want to worry about shipping something to the other side of the plannet if I have an issue. I'd jump on alot of AC and ANF stuff if it was easier to get here in the states.

Makes me wish I had a mill, there's little to designing a monolith block besides plotting where the resistors/such are... However, there's lots of resistance for some reason to changing block designs. This is a step in the right direction. A big one.

Can't buy a mill, getting a K9ND-Speedster and dual Opties. My wife wants an upgrade, so she's getting CrossFireX.

Damn that is really nice. Getting AC products in the US has always been expensive and time consuming. If they want a US market they really need to help out their US suppliers. I think Sharka gets it from a source other than AC directly, therefore slowing the process down even more. Get AC products on Jab-Tech and fast if AC wants to sell some in the US.

i hate to say this, and i know in no way AC was here to hear me say it. So im not saying they stole it.

But that looks almost exactly like how i was gonna have iandh do my chipset blocks earily this year b4 he had to pull the project because of time. :T

Im glad a vendor finally got smart and thought of a 2 in 1 block. I seriously was trying to ask a few people to make them. But now you can space the barbs in a perfect gap and get both northbridge AND southbridge!

GOOD JOB AC! Looks like you guys are coming out with some really nice stuff now

Incase you guys were wondering about thiness, if you made the water path really really WIDE, its okey to go thin. I think thats what AC did as well. Only way is to pop the lid and see. :T

Northbridge, 2 Mosfets, and Cpu all in one. Not to mention nickel plated copper.. How much is this bad boy going to cost you, um only $369 lol

To be fair, it doesn't say it has any aluminum in this block, just all nickel plated copper. Doesn't matter, it could be all silver, $369 is still way too high lol.
Most innovatek has aluminum, as does my radiator (only used for alumium ram blocks though!)

No, to be fair, FrozenCPU's description says "Nickel-plated copper block core with low profile design". Note it says copper core, meaning the only nickel plated copper is over the CPU and NB.
