    this might help vista users...

the save data file, is no where, where you would expect it to be on vista.
since documents and settings is a junction file, not a actual file...

heres where it is in vista.

    C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\STALKER-SHOC

    another tip...

if you want to be able to benchmark this, with versions other then 1.0 is easy.

just take one of the two demos here, and rename the .XRDemo file to a game save file you already have.

in my case, I have my game save as 123.

    so instead of play_demo short_timedemo....
    I type in play_demo 123

works for me, on vista 64, despite the fact I have updated recently.
without this trick, the demo doesnt work.

    you also need...

    rs_stats on

to actually be able to see your FPS.
although, I dont think you can call this a real benchmark, since theres no output of the results, atleast, nothing I can find so far.

With the latest patch, patch v1.3 you can record & playback your own timedemos.
