Am I the only one that prefers the version without X58 or Classified but with the EK logo?
Then there's the possibility to still get EVGA edged in the acrylic, as it's not forbidden to use the brandname if you don't intend to sell it.

Nice job Eddy, best looking block for the classified if you ask me.

I like the x58 on the bottem area and done in red. Not so sure about the "Classidied" on the bridge sction. Probably your own logo or evga would be better or maybe just a big

This is an absolute winner. The red is THE way to go.

Hopefully this is for the 59-A1 as it needs the cooling. But I'm sure it will fit the 60-A1 as that is the same but only missing the NF200.

Hopefully my email to your store has been received Eddy

ps. I would think it would have to have classified on somewhere unless we can take the classified sticker off the original.

I like that idea, although maybe ditch the "X58" on the SB/NF200 area....

Just make sure the base is black nickel plated, like the CPU socket on the Classified, along with the Bitspower blocks....

Also, put a hole in the red section for an LED, and then include an LED like the one that comes with the BP block....

Well, here is EVGA's own prototype design:

They aren't doing VRM cooling as far as I can tell, but I definitely like what I see coming from EK so far!

I would like the cost to stay low. Don't add a light show, platting or whatever if it pushes the price to where BP has theirs ($175 + another $50 fr mofet block so around $225 US). I might have paid $400 for this mobo, but that doesn't mean I want to end up with $200+ put into the mobo that will not transfer over when I get a new mobo. Especially since I do not want a light show. I don't care about a black nickle plated top that does not improve performance and will be mostly hidden by my video cards anyway. I really think BP priced themselves right out of alot of sales. Since they released their block, I have yet to see it go out of stock.

Please sell a basic block and leave the bling as options/add-ons sold seprately. Looks like most of the bling will come via that bridge portion anyway, so probably not an issue to sell those seprately in whatever flavour other people may want. Also, if future motherboard configuration allows, please keep the bridge section common so that it can be used with new/future full motherboard blocks I am sure you will be making.

The whole idea of me posting them was just to compare his blocks to what the board manufacturer (EVGA) is coming up with. I don't mean to be rude in any way.

Maybe transparent acrylic top with red acrylic will be better or cost less, eddy should know best what to do with that

I saw just have the classified on the red acrylic part and then the EK logo on the NB

    that looks great to me

i think having the x58 in red looks kinda funky... maybe if it was just engraved I'd think more of it

Ok, how about you drop the "EVGA" and the "CLASSIFIED" logo's and instead make the red plexi with led's that plug into the board and pulse just like the OEM sink? You could even put the "EK" logo on it so that it pulsed like the "E" does on the original sink. This way there is no question about infringement and you get to highlight your logo. Also, instead of a black acetal top, how about a black nickle plated top, shiny, but black. I think that would look awesome.

I study design in college (landscape architecture, but hey, design is design) and think the "EK" with the swirl better fits the rectangular space of model 1 and looks well with the curved edging just above it. The X58 fits the southbridge better and could even be diagonal like the "classified" text to leave more consistent spacing around. All in all, a great product and I'd gladly spend the bukuu bucks for a Classified board so I could get this product.

    +1

Id keep it plain with just a Pulsing Red EK... that would look teh sex

Perhaps trial flouro red acrylic with a uv led inside, the edges would glow so that if the "EK" was cut in it would be highlighted

2085FL Red is available in .236" thick sheets here

    Hey, block went to production.
Would look like this. I want to thank everyone that helped in this project till now of course

Just one question. Would you prefer that red top to be purchased separately and we make Acetal version in full acetal and plexi only in transparent clear. As I am sure some would like all in acetal, without acrylic, or acrylic in transparent + red top.

Looks great Eddy. I'd just sell it with both parts, red and the acetal. Keep it simple and then everyone can make the choice.

    When will these be available?

    Estimate price?

Im worried its gonna end up being more then half the price of the classified itself.

I am interested in the block tho eddy. :X

I hope you can keep the price competitive.

It would be nice to have a full acetal with no added bling...

But if it helps lowering the costs having just a single version with acetal on the blocks and red plexi on the bridge, instead of having 3 different versions, I can live with that

I like it just as you have it here. If people want the x58 to be red, then they can easily paint it in themselves.

I think the basic option should include the red top and the rest be blac acetal. The theme of the Classified is red and black after all and most people will want to go with that. Not sure about the clear version as I not really into clear tops.

Are you takng pre-orders? I am ready to send you $$
