Indeed the chips on these are Elpida Hyper . I tested the 998707 which has the same chips and worked very well in overclocking (you can see the review here if you're interested)

Yep, those are hyper and the 998687OC too.

I had two kits of redlines and one OC Kit for testing. All had Hyper

hi arne are you here too

i knew they are hypers but there are not so much reviews
what did you try with 1.65V/1.35VTT ?
    2000 7-8-7-20?
    1600 6-7-6-20?
i mean they have to be as minimum spi32m stable
    only bootup is not important

I didn't test your kit for overclocking. Just stock settings.
But be careful, those hypers are very very sensitive. Dont run several instances of HCI MemTest with maximum load, i killed two sticks of OCZ Blade Hypers and Mushkin OC with near stock voltage.

I have another Kit of Redlines at home. They do this with 1,66V.

To push higher, i have to increase VTT of my i5 lynnfield to 1,4V and more...

In Germany, some shops are selling them, starting at 300€.

if they die after memtest they will soon arrive at rma station from mushkin
hypers are sensitive and over 1.85V it doenst bring sense
    they dont scale over 1.85

my kingstons die in 15 minutes on 1.65V

    and somethings weird at mushkin
    website doesnt show this kits
only one last number changes and they are only with ascent there
i suppose this kit is the first revision from mushkin redline hypers and they arent producing them anymore
