its rated 2.3V and is 1150mhz, eledia cant do that to my knowlage, teh only thing that could would be powerhcips but thats a 2.1V kit if so and the kingston site says only 2.3

I wouldn't count on the Kingston being D9 anymore, with the new heat spreaders. If you can find some of the older stuff, OK.
oh well then im glad i didnt jump on it

I just picked up 2 kits cheap on ebay of the 9200 vipers - less than 100 bucks for the 2 kits
should be interesting to see how they work out - i checked with the sellers to do what i could to make sure they were the 2.3v kits
seems like ebay is still a good place to find some d9's - sometimes cheap - sometimes not

i have the single sided crucials, what chips do they use?? also i still have a set of d9 crucials that are rated 667 and have been chuging away at 1066 for over 1 year now
I'm running 2 gb Transcend AxeRam 800 in my Asus p5q Pro mobo at 1120 Mhz, 5-5-5-15 timings, 2.1 v. I have had it even higher, 1200 Mhz. I got this ram a year ago not knowing how good it would be and got lucky. Are all current AxeRam modules using D9 chips or only the older ones? I see on the Transcend website all iterations of AxeRam are still available for purchase but not sure if they changed the kind of chips they are using. http://ec.transcendusa.com/product/p...139&indexnum=1

Nope, the model numbers are different from the older kits. The ones with D9 all ended in QLJ, signifying 64Mx8 ICs. These current kits have QLU in the model number and have 128Mx8 ICs. My D9GMH aXeRam 1200 kit got replaced with a non-D9 version and I noted the model number change.
Ok thanks for the info. What about the 1066 kits? No more D9s for them either? I am kicking myself because I took 2 gb of out of my own computer for my daughter's system. Those are older version too got them at the same time. I might have to do a swap with some other ram and steal them back from her!![]()

The Dominator DDR2-800 CAS3 is D9 guaranteed. It is highly unlikely the 1066 kit will be however.
Correct. You have to go up to 9136 in 2x1 Dominators to get D9: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145169
Those C3 800s are sweet.

Wow $330 for the 1142 Dominators!I'm looking at those C3 800s now, I'll have to send back the 1066 that are arriving today though. The thing is I have been spoiled with my 800 AxeRam Ram which have D9. I have also ordered another pair of AxeRam from Transcend, this time they are the 1066 variety, these are known to use D9 chips aren't they?

well - just got 1 kit of those Viper DDR2-9200 and 1 stick is defunct totally right off the get go
the other stick I'm questioning the D9 nature of it - it runs better at lower voltage even though everything on the package implies it supposed to be 2.3v stuff
does DDR2-1200 at 2.1v - doesn't want to go much higher - now if both stick worked fine I'd be willing to be happy but NOOOOO - I'm questioning if this stuff was new and the seller just wasn't selling it cause it didn't work... gotta love ebay sometimes - next kit comes in today - should be fun - I can't imagine both wouldn't work
I might RMA my current Anniversary Series Ballistix and get a new kit of DDR2-667 D9's

One way to tell if it's not Micron RevD for sure is to look at the IC from the gap inbetween the heat spreaders. If you see "feet" like in this picture it's not D9GMH. Micron is flat like this.
