    Aftermarket 9800gx2 cooler?

    My gx2 runs hotter than i would like 78c idle is there a aftermarket cooler for both cores? And if there is whats the best?

    I have not seen any aftermarket coolers made specifically for the GX2 other than watercooling, however if you really need a solution, you can use 2 thermalright HR-03's, there's a pic of that around here somewhere, the only thing you need to worry about is the memory so you would need a fan blowing on that too

    i pulled the shroud off mine and with a hefty oc I usually hit 70c max

    its pretty easy, the cards can separate so you can fit each cooler.

    Really tempted to do this.... but i just dont have £50 to spend atm , the 9800gx2 is loud and hot and would be the ideal suloution but i just have the money , i wonder would the casing for the card fit back over the card now ?

    How much of a temp drop from the TR's? Probably at least 30C under load
