Talking Asus EAH4870X2 TOP makes a good soft start in 03 and 06

This is the first time that I've felt that a factory overclocked card makes a big difference. I have tested the AMD reference cards that aint screened and they top out on 820 on a good day. These are running 877MHz with stock cooler!!

Only had a few liters of ln2 left in the dewar so jsut ran it safe at 5.6GHz, with higher fsb the score would be even higher

Temp on screen is bugged, the cards actually really hot

877mhz for the cores... very impressive... most 4870's only manage around 840 stable....

ATi Tray Tools. Have not heard that the latest build has been tested with crossfire/X2's but I assume it works.

No this is the TOP model of the reference design, same BGAs. Just a very very tight screening process. Since there are two gpus and a alot of mem ics there will be a big variation.

Bios will help on non modified cards since I bumbped the voltage to the highest allowed by the vr ic, 1.35V.

    Latest driver online at amd.com.

Yes I belive this is the right score for 4870X2 in Quad CFX, score where about the same for all rounds that I managed to get out of the ln2 I had.

I actually tried with 5.7GHz, only helped in GT1 so I went back to 5.6 to save ln2.

I never thought 03 would ever surpass 01, let alone by this amount. I guess 03 is a good balanced between CPU and GPU (WITHOUT cpu tests).
